Enterprise Consulting Helps Aereon - Flare Systems Optimize IFS Applications 8.1
Aereon – Flare Systems is an IFS Applications™ 8.1 user in Austin, TX. Due to significant personnel turnover over many years, Aereon – Flare Systems had lost much of their internal IFS expertise. Reverting back to operational methods they had used prior to implementing IFS for many daily functions, Aereon was unable to utilize IFS Applications™ in a meaningful manner.
Enterprise Consulting recommend a full, end-to-end, IFS Applications 8.1 Process Review and, potentially, partial Re-Implementation. Enterprise Consulting went onsite over a period of four (4) days at Aereon – Flare Systems to perform the Process Review/Discovery. Beginning with interviews of all functional areas, reviews of current methods and processes and an overall understanding of what aspects of IFS Applications™ 8.1 were and were not being utilized, Enterprise Consulting developed and delivered a full report of Aereon – Flare Systems’ current IFS Applications™ status. In addition, the report proposed a partial Re-implementation of IFS Applications™ 8.1 with a detailed plan and cost estimates, recommending more effective ways of setting up basic data, configuring IFS Modules, and performing new functions in IFS Applications™ 8.1 to better satisfy Aeron – Flare Systems’ requirements and deficiencies.
Aereon – Flare Systems decided to execute the partial Re-Implementation with Enterprise Consulting. Over a period of six months, training and workshop sessions were conducted to define, test, verify, and Re-implement application/process solutions. Following this effort, Aereon – Flare Systems again went live on IFS Applications™ 8.1
Aereon – Flare Systems now has a much stronger and clearer understanding of their IFS Applications™ solution and changes/impact across functional areas. The IFS Applications™ 8.1 workshops validated their updated solutions/processes and resolved the open issues identified at the beginning of the Process Review/Discovery Session. The confidence level of their IFS user community rose significantly by the end of the six-month Re-Implementation, and overall usage of IFS Applications™ 8.1 was greatly increased. Where Aereon – Flare Systems once questioned continuing with IFS Applications™, they now want to gain even greater value by Upgrading to IFS Applications™ 10 in the near future.
